GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Under the direct authority of the Chief Probation Officer the deputy bailiff is responsible for the security of the Municipal Court.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); minimum of six (6) months of security or bailiff experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education experience and training which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Must possess a valid Ohio drivers license and maintain insurability under the Citys vehicle insurance policy; weapons and L.E.A.D.S certifications required or must be able to obtain such certifications within the required period.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED :
Motor vehicle electronic monitoring equipment; firearm; pepper spray; radio; personal computer telephone copier fax machine printer calculator and other standard office equipment.
